It’s Just the Beginning...

Hello ClickPack Pro backers!

Our campaign broke $1.2 million! Holy wow! We never thought that the ClickPack Pro would be supported by so many people. This journey has not only given us a lot of valuable experience but also more confidence and courage to launch our products on the market. We, the Korin Design Team, would like to thank you again. Thank you, thank you, thank you! What follows are the next steps for the ClickPack Pro..as well as some inside information about where things stand.

1. BEGIN PRODUCTION 

The end of the campaign is just the beginning. In order to deliver the ClickPack Pro in time to all backers, we have ordered enough raw materials to produce 10,000 backpacks so that we could begin mass production immediately. Everything is going along swimmingly. We did hit a snag, though, but have worked out the kinks. It's actually a bit ironic....Due to the slash resistant fabric material being, well, slash resistant and so strong, the general cutting machine at our factory could not cut it. So, we have had to use a laser machine for the cutting.

2. ESTIMATE DATE OF SHIPPING 

We are currently in contact with some logistics companies to double back on our promise to ensure that our backers will receive the ClickPack Pro on time – by the end of June and the end of July. This has been our promise all along and we intend to keep it.

 3. STRETCH GOAL #4 

As promised, if we reached $850,000 we would unlock stretch goal #4 – a retractable key ring. We purchased a large number of retractable key rings, but found that none of them meet our requirements for quality. Most of them broke after a few hundred stretches, and we did not want to equip ClickPacks with something that does not match the quality of the rest of the bag. So, in order to maintain the quality of our backpack, but to honor the 4th stretch goal, our team has decided to offer a slick travel tag, rather than the retractable key ring. It's not a perfect solution, but it's the best we can do with where we're at currently. We wanted to come clean about this and offer a solution rather than add it to the bag anyway.

4. OUTSTANDING QUESTIONS 

Since the campaign is over, there will be no more funds coming in and therefore, no more stretch goals. A lot of backers have also been persistent in their comments about multiple color options and the replaceable USB cable. Unfortunately, these things will have to wait for future versions of the ClickPack. We understand that you all see the large funding amount we've reached, and assume that the sky is the limit in regard to additions we can add. However, our costs are matched to support the production and shipping of the exact number of ClickPack Pros which we now must make. For us to vary color options or add more stretch goals would highly sacrifice the quality of the bag which we intend to deliver to all backers.

Hello Kickstarter backers!

Thank you for your support throughout this ClickPack Pro campaign. We’d like to announce that we have decided a final stretch goal - a retractable key ring function. This stretch goal will be unlocked if we hit 850K. As many of you are asking for more additions to the ClickPack Pro, we tried our best to make do with what we can to deliver a perfect backpack.

Since we started the campaign, and with your help, we have added great features as a result of our stretch goals – internal stiffeners, all-around slash proof material and an upgraded USB cable. If we hit 850K, the retractable key ring will be added. We can’t promise any more added features or stretch goals outside of these, but we do promise and guarantee the delivery times for the June and July. It will be a big rush for our manufacturer.

Concerning the TSA Lock combinations...we want to address and clarify the concerns and comments that have been flooding the comment board this week. The lock will be produced by us. However, you can modify/make a new code/combination on your own when you receive your bag. Here's a video to show how this can be done. 

Our campaign has only 3 days to go. We need your help to keep spreading the word. So, we'd like to offer you a special deal...We will give a free ClickPack Pro each day until the campaign ends when you share our campaign on your Facebook page with the tag @Korin Design. ***It's important that you use this tag so that we can track who has shared** We will chose recipients at random. Strong Finish to the End

Hello ClickPack Pro Backers!

Thank you so much for your support. Our campaign is presently funded at over 510K! The stretch goal for 450K is unlocked. Congratulations! Your suggestions are helping the ClickPack Pro to be a perfect backpack.

Many of you are asking for a picture to show the upgraded USB. We need a bit more time to deliver this to you as we need to make a new mold. This upgrading has proven to not be the easiest of tasks. It's no little thing. As we’re not experts in the USB cable area, and we want to make sure we do this upgrade well and do it correctly, we've been reaching out to our resources to help us do so.

We also want to clarify that this upgraded USB cable will not be the cable used to plug your phone into a power source for charging. This upgraded USB is housed inside bag, in the power bank compartment and attaches to power bank and connects this power source to a outlet on the outside of the bag. The ClickPack Pro doesn’t come with a power bank, as well. (You will have to use your own power bank.) You will also have to use your own cable lighting/micro USB to attach to your phone - depends on the phone you have.

This week, we were at the Hong Kong Gift & Premium Fair and didn’t expect as many visitors to our booth(1B-A10) as we had. We want to give special thanks to all those who came to say hi and support us – backer and distributors from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. You guys are awesome! Some backers were able to see and touch the ClickPack Pro in person. We could tell they loved the ClickPack Pro as much as we do, and as much as we hope you will.

Many backers have asked and continue to ask for color variations such as an all-black bag. Our collaborator, Ariana, has answered this question countless times. Unfortunately, we can’t offer an entirely black backpack at this time. The white fiber, Dyneema, functions as the slash-resistant fabric. However, we are figuring out how to make other color options, by keeping the gray part of the pack and changing the black color on the top and bottom. This is not a promise or a stretch goal, but something we are working to see if we can make possible. We will keep you posted for the next week.

We have just 11 days to go! Let’s finish it strong.

Hello Kickstarter backers,

It’s been 27 days. You all have done incredible work helping us fund the ClickPack Pro, and have met everything we put down with great enthusiasm. Thank you for so much support! We are heading toward $420,000! This week was filled with so much feedback from the community – lots of important questions, suggestions and advice – and we have found that The ClickPack Pro is even bigger than we thought or could have ever imagined.

We've received your requests for more added features. We took these to the lab and tried our best to see if these suggestions were doable. Our team is working day and night to test out more features for the stretch goal. Unfortunately, as much as we continue to do, production costs do accrue.

Some things we are unwilling to compromise with the addition of new features are (as we stated in previous updates) the ClickPack's design and quality, as well as timely delivery. We are making our decisions with these three things in mind. This is why a handful of your suggestions and wants for additions cannot be met. We need you to understand that all the pricing listed on the campaign page has been calculated precisely for the demand of each backer receiving the ClickPacks which they've pledged for. Further, these things which we approach our work with are pillars for our team, how we chose to be in the game and play.

But, have no fear! The picture below shows WHAT WE CAN DO for stretch goal number 3.

Thank You So Much! We've reached 310K! This is crazy!

Hello Kickstarter backers,

WOW! We are still speechless and stunned. YOU have helped us reach our 2nd funding stretch goal of $310K, and in an astonishing amount of time. What's more? We still have 25 days to go.

Meeting the $200K mark means that the second goal of a 100% SLASH-PROOF BAG WILL BE UNLOCKED.

We are happy to announce that we have set our next funding stretch goal at $450,000. This is a pretty big push, but we have complete faith that the community will continue to support us, as you have and continue to do. If you have any suggestions for added features that can be unlocked upon achieving this new stretch goal, please feel free to share them with us. A detachable chest strap has quickly become something that many backers have mentioned and a suggestion we are considering. We are testing this, as well as color options, (since so many of you continue to ask about this). What else you got for us?

We'd like to note that, while we are happy to hear all your thoughts on new features for the next stretch goal, please keep in mind that, while anything is possible, we do face limitations and/or have to make considerations and decisions for added features with manufacturing costs in mind. These decisions play into keeping our promise of delivering a bag that is well made. We appreciate your understanding in this.

And many of you asked for a slowed down video to show off all the hidden pockets and inner features. These include the two detachable pouches - one is for toiletries and another one for electronic accessories (such as wires, cables, earbuds, etc.). The video has been included below.
